Water Damage Forces Temporary Closure at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore Until Noon Monday
The Horseshoe Casino Baltimore has temporarily closed due to water damage, with plans to reopen at noon on Monday. The incident caused damage to pipes and created a hole in the ceiling above the 122,000-square-foot gaming floor, resulting in water falling near gambling machines.

The casino management evacuated all guests and employees as a precautionary measure. The facility, which houses over 1,600 slot machines and nearly 100 table games, is currently undergoing repairs. No injuries were reported, and the exact cause of the water pipe break remains unknown.
Located near M&T Bank Stadium and Camden Yards, the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore is one of Maryland's three full-scale casinos, alongside MGM National Harbor and Live! Casino. This incident follows other notable casino flooding events, including the April closure of Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack due to Ohio River flooding and the July 2022 flash floods affecting several Las Vegas properties.
Two years ago, the casino underwent a significant renovation to address financial challenges. The casino's management has apologized for any inconvenience and continues to work on resolving the situation to ensure a prompt reopening.
