Vegas High-Roller Brandon Sattler Sentenced to 51 Months for $10M Casino Fraud
Brandon Sattler, a high-rolling Las Vegas gambler, received a 51-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to wire fraud. He fraudulently obtained over $10 million from three lenders by falsely claiming he needed funds for casino renovation contracts.

During an April 2022 deposition, Sattler made serious allegations against former MGM Grand and Resorts World Las Vegas president Scott Sibella, claiming they had a personal relationship involving parties and illegal activities. Sibella, who initially denied knowing Sattler, was later fired from Resorts World and received one year's probation for violating the Bank Secrecy Act by allowing illegal bookie Wayne Nix to gamble at MGM Grand.
Sattler's criminal history includes multiple fraud-related convictions:
- 2004: Guilty plea for aiding and abetting bank fraud in Texas
- 2004: Convicted of grand theft and forgery in California
- 2006: Faced fraud charges in Los Angeles County
In this latest case, prosecutors revealed that Sattler manipulated bank information to inflate his account balance, deceiving lenders into providing money to his fictitious casino security company, SattCom Video.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Schiess noted that previous punishments failed to deter Sattler, instead leading to "more sophisticated fraudulent schemes." His defense attorney, Shawn Perez, attributed Sattler's actions to a gambling addiction, requesting leniency in sentencing.
