No one has won the jackpot since September 10, when a Texas ticket claimed $810 million. The odds of winning are one in 302,575,350.
Friday's December 20 drawing saw over two million winning tickets across non-jackpot prizes:
- Five tickets won $1 million by matching all five white balls
- 48 tickets won $10,000 by matching four white balls plus the Mega Ball
- 1.36 million tickets won $2 by matching just the Mega Ball
Important Changes Coming:
- Starting April 2025, ticket prices will increase from $2 to $5
- The new price includes the Megaplier multiplier
- Jackpot odds will remain the same (1 in 302.5 million)
- Game will continue using 70 white balls and 25 Mega Balls
Notable: An unclaimed $1.128 billion winning ticket sold in Neptune, N.J. in March 2024 must be redeemed by March 26, 2025. This represents the fifth-largest prize in Mega Millions history.
The next drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, December 24, at 11 p.m. EST at the Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
