Major Robux Gambling Sites Shut Down Following Sky News Investigation
An investigation by Sky News has led to the shutdown of the three largest illegal Robux gambling sites - BloxFlip, Bloxmoon, and RBLXWild. These platforms allowed users, including children as young as 12, to gamble using Roblox's in-game currency.

The gambling sites, which attracted approximately 2.8 million monthly visitors, operated without proper age verification despite claiming to be 18+. Users could bet Robux on games like slots and blackjack, with winnings convertible to cryptocurrency and real money.
Roblox, with over 164 million active users, has a predominantly young user base - 60% under 16 and 22% under 9 years old, according to a 2022 SEC filing.
Following the investigation, BloxFlip announced its closure, citing pressure from Roblox's legal team, and promised to refund users. Bloxmoon and RBLXWild quickly followed suit.
A Roblox spokesperson stated the company doesn't endorse these third-party websites and welcomes law enforcement action against them. Meanwhile, the company faces a class-action lawsuit in Northern California from parents whose children lost money through Robux gambling. The lawsuit alleges Roblox incentivized these gambling sites and failed to protect its users while profiting from the transactions.
