Bet365 CEO Denise Coates reduced her annual compensation to £150 million (US$188 million) in the latest financial year, marking a significant decrease from previous earnings. This comes as the online betting company reported increased revenues of £3.7 billion (US$4.7 billion) and a pretax profit of £596.3 million (US$748 million).

The reduction follows her record-breaking £421 million (US$528 million) payment in 2020, when she became the highest-paid executive in British corporate history, earning approximately £237,348 ($328,276) per hour based on a 38-hour work week.

Over the past 15 years, Coates has earned approximately £2.5 billion (US$3.1 billion) from Bet365. Despite criticism about her compensation, she maintains Bet365's headquarters in the UK, making it one of the country's largest corporate taxpayers and the biggest employer in Stoke-on-Trent.

The company continues its charitable efforts through the Denise Coates Foundation, contributing £120 million (US$150 million) to various causes including health, welfare, education, and disaster recovery.

Coates founded Bet365 with her brother John in a portable building in Stoke nearly two decades ago, transforming their father's betting shop chain into a global online gambling leader. The Coates family ranks 20th on The Times of London's wealthiest Brits list, with a combined net worth of £7.5 billion (US$9.4 billion).
