Former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady reportedly reached out to Bill Belichick about potentially becoming the Las Vegas Raiders' head coach. Brady, now a minority owner of the Raiders, believes Belichick's expertise could establish a sustainable winning program in Las Vegas.

The timing comes as the Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce, creating one of several NFL coaching vacancies. Brady and Belichick's historic partnership with the Patriots resulted in six Super Bowl victories over their 20 seasons together.

However, Belichick recently accepted the head coaching position at the University of North Carolina, signing a five-year contract. His UNC contract includes a $10 million buyout clause if he leaves before June 1, 2025. Belichick has publicly stated he has no intention of leaving UNC, telling reporters, "I didn't come here to leave."

The Raiders, who finished last in the AFC West with a 4-13 record, join the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, and Patriots in their search for new head coaches.
